C. Christie’s added a new location at 621 Church Street at the entrance of Church Street Centre Mall. The space arrived as a bare 5,000 SF shell with only a concrete floor and ceiling. Worsham LLC completed the four walls, flooring, ceiling, lighting, plumbing, furniture, fixtures, doors, security systems, displays, kitchen, bathrooms, alterations, and offices.
After design was finalized and plans approved, we installed 16 tons of HVAC including 8 tons dedicated to cooling the lights; 2,500 square feet of marble and tile flooring; marble-tile columns; and wallpaper at $200 per roll. We built a 64-foot octagonal cabinet and hung a 235-pound, 1,000-watt crystal chandelier, plus 465 lights total. The project was functionally complete in 4 months. Budget was $350,000; final cost came in closer to $250,000.
